Need hull advice...

I recently purchased my first Laser (used) and love it. However, it has been stored outside with the hull up without a cover for several years and the gelcoat has become somewhat soft. Any advice on how to refurbish it...Thanks...

I would say cutting compound polish, but if it has gone 'soft' then that would destroy the gelcoat?

the problam is not that it was stored with its hull up with no cover. i have the same problam with a couple of the club boats and its that the hull has been wetsanded too much, so a portion of the gelcoat has actully come off the hull. the only way i can think to remedy this is too re-gelcoat the hull.
