Another Beautiful Day

Here in coastal SC. 44 degrees 8-10 knt breeze. Just perfect for breaking the new North rag and about an hour or so of practice. Just thought I'd share.

I'm sorry, but I just don't consider 44 degrees much to brag about. Brrr. Maybe the folks scraping ice off their windshield and shoveling snow off sidewalks would be jealous, but I'm still gonna wait a month or two until I get back out on the water.

25 degrees Celcius( I think about 77 F) 15 knots on Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown, New Zealand. We've got our dinghy regatta coming up in a week and a half. You northerners deserve a break down south.

Now that sounds more like it. I can't wait for the temps to get back into the 70s F.

That's it. I'm going down under to Aus./NZ next Christmas.

A Perfect Southern California (winter) Day today... 20-30 knots of wind, Logo high breaking storm waves, Water: mid-50s.. Too much fun! :)

I looked at the plume in the water off of MdR, Friday afternoon. I just can't get excited to get out on the water through everyone's muck and crap.

NZL, AUS, So Cal. You guys have it made, but I'll take what I can get.

At Europe we had a bit wind Sunday: 12+ Bft. (~156 km per hour) at the East Sea, about 50°F and rainrainrainrain....

It's by far to hot here, this "winter": At Saturday we had 59°F, sun and about 4 Bft: Perfect weather to sail Laser, but unfortunately sailing is not allowed during the winter here on our small lake.
BTW:No real snow during this Winter we had at the middle of GER (but enough at the Alps and some snow at the north of GER). Congrats I say: we are successfully on the best way here to drive away the winter forever, with our CO2-pollution at Europe, yeah... From Autumn direct into Spring :) why not... ;) Sailing Laser here the complete year, what a sweet dream.

BTW: Hi Aussies, you had the Australian-Day at last Friday, didn't you had? Sorry, we forgot to congraulate ... hopefully you all had a great day on the water and a good bbq...G'Day down under ;)

Ciao

Hold on there. What's the weather like in NZ and Oz in July?

Can't speak for the Kiwis but in my part of Australia, we average around 21 degrees Celsius in July - that's around 70 F. Believe it or not, there are still plenty of people who won't sail in our 'frostbite' series because it is too cold...

I've spent the last three days sailing in a steady 18-20 knots, temps around the 27 to 28 C mark. Perfect!
