It'd be fun to haul it down to Florida etc....but my wife may not let me take it alone....basically being a one person boat :-D
No....she doesnt want one for her either!
Will make the bottom look new again over the winter...so I can drag it ashore again next season! :)

Y'know, depending on where you sail, "Florida" isn't always balmy!

Our last sailing day is this sundays "Christmas pudding pursuit race" but it is currently forecast to be force 9/10 so I might give it a miss.

My family lives in the Sarasota so I understand
Florida is home to many different palm trees, but only where the Coconut Palm tree flourishes could be considered "balmy".

Sarasota, in SW Florida, is on the line where frost will kill off Coconut Palm trees. However, usually near shopping malls, buildings or lakes, a "micro-climate" can keep such cold-sensitive palms struggling to maturity.

A little factoid from a friend in the palm tree business:
Date Palms are cold-hardy, and when they grow too tall in California, they are trucked across the country to central Florida, where state and county governments replant them along roadways. Following Hurricane Irma, many damaged roadway trees have already been replaced by Date Palms. Ummm, I seem to be off-topic.

 Anyway, if you want to sail your Sunfish during the winter months, buy a Florida place with Coconut Palms in the neighborhood. :)
