Main sheet block

I was just reading the international class rules and i saw nothing about a block size restriction, is there a size that they will not allow? i think im going to buy a 60mm because anybigger is un needed, i think.
another question is that i was wondering if on the main block is there a cam cleat alowed to be on it? it would be cool to have one but i think it might be kinda useless and might get in your way or not let you sheet out so you might capsize.

And what is the most u guys have sailed in for wind? im only 14 at 125 pounds but me and another guy from my club with junor sailing were out in 25 knts of wind and we could hardly keep the full rig flat..its kinda sad but true. and when we brood reached we planed out so smooth and just took off, thinking about it makes me cant wait till summer and when i have my own laser radial.

125 pounds in a full rig in 25 knt winds? did you have any reef in your sail? I currently use a Harken 60mm CarboBlock, It works great! i'd highly recomend it although they can be pricey...

are you positive it was a full rig in 25knts of breeze because i can't even flatten a radial in that and i weigh 130 and i can be in a full straight hike.

i was in it with another guy who weighed about 125 also, and both me and him were hiking. i was only a whitesail at this time but i was the best white sail at the club so they asked me to partner with this bronze sailor so he could get his lesson. i learned alot that day...like y sometimes the dagger board makes funny noises, i learned it means your about to plane and you must pull the daggerboard up at this time. i was confussed when i first heard it in an echo, i thought we were gonna sink since our echos suck, but were getting a new one for summer of 2006. luckily i should have my laser by then and i wont sail junk boats like echos.

Another Laserite recommended the Harken carbo ratchamatic block to me. This block has a load sensing ratchet. He loves it because he claims that it makes sheeting out after the windward mark faster; it lists at $61. You can compare this to the ($45) 'classical' H019 (Harken) block and the ($55) Ronstan RF62100. All US prices.

i used to have the ratchamatic but i found that after a few days of difficult sailing the spring in the autosensor broke, so i just got a regular carbo block and have had no problems.

i use the standard Holt performance ratchet, went sailing for the first time since end of december last sunday love'in it. training again this weekend not long till our season starts :D

was a nice breeze tho gusty reacing over 20kts as it was 17 when we launched and the wind only increased.

the screaming reaches brought back just why i love the laser so much
