Video: Making Sails Out Of... Tape

Been watching the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-15 and found this cool video. It's a visit to North Sails and shows how they make the Volvo 65 one design sails.

Most interesting to me was how they gave the sails their shape. Imagine if our Laser sails could be made with this kind of technology.

Pretty interesting. Boeing has machinery like that to lay down composite for wings.

You are right. And I've even got a head support and camelback that allows me to work longer hours at my new sail loft.

And, you have the cleanest air of any loft, Andy!

You guys are crazy, and that is why I love Laser sailors.
