Hi All,
Andy here. Long time 470 and Laser sailor and I'm upgrading a couple of old Sunfishes that are now living in Chatham, Mass.
I've got some old booms that have corrosion that I would like to sleeve a bit in places. On this site...
http://www.rigrite.com/Spars/Kenyon_Spars/1.5-Boom.html
... they provide the Outside Diameter of the boom. But I can't find an official statement anywhere of the Inside Diameter. Anyone have access to that information? And/or a good aluminum sleeving source?
I don't know where and which I will put short outer or inner sleeves on the booms so I figured I'd track down the OD and ID and then find stock aluminum tubing on the web and order it for the re-enforcement.
Also, finding some used booms that are still in good shape would be nice. But they would have to be pretty close to the South Shore south of Boston, Mass or close to Chatham, Mass on Cape Cod.
Found a post on used booms here but too far a drive.

Thanks for any info/recommendations you can provide! BTW, got in a couple days of nice sailing over Easter weekend. This is in Oyster Pond in Chatham with a brand new Kevane sail I had just put on the old girl.
Happy sailing,
- Andy
