My 2014 Racing Season

Hello!

I'm fairly new here but just trying to reach out to the community in a sense! My name is Chris Wilson, and I am a Laser Full Rig sailor from Vancouver, Canada. I have been competitively racing for lets say about 7 years or so I think? But only been in the Full Rig for a season and bit, was all about the Radial before that. I compete all over North America and have some big goals. The end, and ultimate, goal is to compete and represent for Canada at the 2020 Olympics, but for 2014 the goal is to qualify for the Canadian National Sailing Team which I feel is attainable as I have been working very hard with lots of training and fitness. Anyway's just here to ask for any tips to keep me on my way. If you want to learn more about what I'm doing, because lets be honest the stuff above is poorly written, check me out at https://www.facebook...sonLaserSailing or http://chriswilsonla...ng.blogspot.ca/.

But most importantly (not trying to make this a plug for anything but...) if you are feeling generous at all, I have a fundraiser running at http://makeachamp.co...iswilsonsailing where a donation of any size will really help me on my way towards my goals for this season and the future.

Thanks for you time!!!

Chris

Hi Chris:
You should consider getting in contact with Vaughn Harrison and Max St-Maurice at the International Sailing Academy in La Cruz, Mexico. They are both Canadian guys who coach OLympic hopefuls like yourself. Vaughn is probably one of the best coaches around. Go to www.internationalsailingacademy.com. I just came back from there and had the best week ever.
Good Luck!
Coach K.
