Video: Another Jenner Out & Return

On Saturday I sailed up the Russian River to the bridge at Duncans Mills and back to Jenner. The wind was westerly this time... the more normal direction for the river.

It took me 2 hours 45 minutes. Met some very unusual river visitors during the trip. Here's the video.

Great little adventure.

If I hadn't Googled Jenner to find it I would have thought you were in New Zealand (where I am).
Very similar landscape.

What camera were you using?

Hi Tillerman,

It's a Sanyo Xacti CG 10. Here's a link to the camera on Amazon.

It's nice to document my trips but it's hard to reach way inside my Gill Salopettes and dig that thing out of my coat pocket. So I'm going to sew a pouch on the inside of the chest area on the Gills so I can easily get at it.

The other thing I'd like to remedy is I'm not able to document the windiest spots on these journeys... cause I have to put the camera away when I'm arriving at them. So I'm going to get one of those GoPro Head Straps (or mount it to a hat) and have the thing running when I'm in those more robust conditions.

Would love to see some on board video of where you guys sail. It's surprisingly easy to film by hand when it's light to medium winds.

Wow, Andy, I forgot the Jenner end of the River would still be in shape to sail this time of year. I also envy you your editing and commentary skills. And you had fine company, from sea lions and cows, to paragliders. It was also a great Laser day on Tomales Bay on Sunday. Started out light and then when the fog line crept over Pt. Reyes it built to perfect conditions to get the boats up and I got a couple little videos here (sorry, not edited)

Andy, it's surprisingly easy to make a custom mount from what would normally be scrap materials. Merely Sellotape the object you want to hold with a double layer, then with a small amount of glass tape do a simple wet lay up around it - ensuring you consider the slip off removal route - the v slight shrinkage over the following day or so gives a very nice 'snap on' fit. In turn mount that onto whatever takes your fancy be it a Velcro strap, or a swivel on a carbon tube or ? w h y...
Keep on documenting mate.
