The Inaugural Will White Cup honors Sunfish legend and author of "The Sunfish Book," Will White. The cup will be awarded to the winner of the Sunfish class at the 5th annual Charlotte Harbor Regatta, Feb. 8-9, 2014 in Charlotte Harbor, Fla. Don't miss out on a chance to meet Will and get him to sign your copy of "The Sunfish Bible," which includes Will's "The Sunfish Book."

The Charlotte Harbor Regatta will feature the Friday night Pusser's Rum Beach Party at Port Charlotte Beach Park and a Saturday night dinner at the elegant Isles Yacht Club. Awards will follow racing on Sunday afternoon.

As you may know, Will is one of only a handful of honorary lifetime members of the International Sunfish Class Association and a founding director of the Charlotte Harbor Regatta.

Online registration is open and the NOR is available at www.charlotteharborregatta.com.

Joe Blouin wins Inaugural Will White Cup

At the awards ceremony capping off the 5th annual Charlotte Harbor Regatta, Joe Blouin accepted the trophy for winning the Inaugural Will White Cup, wrapped his arm around White and thanked him for everything the author of "The Sunfish Book" and producer of "The Sunfish Bible" has done for the Sunfish class and sailors everywhere.

Blouin topped David Silverman by five points over six races to win the silver cup. Sunfish Florida Peninsula Region Representative Chris Gates took third, two points behind Silverman.

The trio were among the 100 sailors in 69 boats in 11 classes to compete in the regatta on Charlotte Harbor.
