Can an RS Feva comfortably sit on a Laser Dolly

I'm just wondering whether spending $300 on a laser dolly will get me as far as buying the correct dolly for the boat for $500.

The RS Feva is 12 feet rather than the 13'9" the laser stretches to, but the beat is about the same, only a couple inches differece (RS Feva Beam>Laser Beam by 2 inches or so)

Excuse me if this is in the wrong subforum, I'm still new to the site.

You need to make sure the beam is not wider than the posts on the laser dolly. I put dimensions somewhere here recently. Take a look around for them to check your numbers.

Also, the dolly is set up for a specific center of gravity. For trailering purposes, it's in the vicinity of the main sheet block. Slightly behind if I remember right. So you may be way off in CG when you put a different boat on the dolly. Might be a beast to handle. You might be able to modify the dolly to fit.. but need to do some balance tests on the RS to find out.

You can make a dolly fairly easily. Since you're in USA, look for harbor freight sales on their beach tires.. they're like 4 bux or somethng when they go on sale. Or use plastic lawn mower wheels ( big ones, 18 inch ). Then use 80/20 extrusion (google is your friend) for the body and an old seat belt from the junk yard for your strap, and you're in business.

We have a new Seitech 70002 dolly for the RS Feva. There is not a lot of demand for this dolly so we will sell it for a loss: $400. Give us a call: 678-431-7404
