replacement centerboard

i have a 1975 capri omega with mahogany centerboard and rudder. the keel is shot and the gaskets are gone. we had a hard time the other day on our lake when the wind picked up and we had no power on the starboard tack. when i righted the boat after a capsize i broke off the tailing edge of the centerboard so i am looking for a new one! i know there is a vast amount of knowledge out there on this one. there is also no hardware currently to raise and lower the centerboard. i have a scheme in mind with bungee cords holding it aft and a line with a pulley going forward to a jam cleat on the way back. i tried to search for this subject and found a link to replace gaskets but i could not get the link to work. are there replacement centerboards available? are there kits for controlling the board?

Hi Craig,
I just bought Capri Omega built in 1978. It is a nice boat. However, my rudder was split in half and previous owner repaired it, and my centerboard is all bent and does not maintain a straight line when you look at it. On top of that, previous owner painted it and now all wood is chipping off. I do not think this is reparable, and would like to make new centerboard and rudder, or to purchase new ones if they are available. I hope somebody will be able to help us out with this problem. I'll post my findings here as well.
There is not so much topics on the Internet about Capri Omega.
Also could you share your info about where to find original gasket for Capri Omega?

Thank you

Erni
