Fleet 24 News, Spring 2004

Secretary/Vice Commodore
The Spring season is already in progress for this warm
weather state. We currently have two venues in
process. At Lake Pleasant, which is 35 miles NW of
Phoenix, the C14.2 sail in a Portsmouth class. This
is a five weekend series. The second venue is at
Tempe Town Lake, Tempe Arizona. The racing at TTL is
every saturday through May 22, starting at 2:00, and
we sail 4 races each day. While conflicts have
prevented enough C14.2 on a regular basis, we plan to
have a One Design class there in the summer and fall.

The C14.2 is fast becoming far and away the most
popular two man boat on Tempe Town Lake. We have the
boats here, now with our class we plan to get them out
on the race course. Our racing is competitive, but
the first objective after safety is fun.

New Capri 14.2 in AYC fleet

Hiya Dennis,

Since your not answer your voicemail, I'm checking in this way. All went well today on the lake, no turtling. Need to get the jib hank fixed and we will be one step closer to be the fastest capri 14.2 on the lake to steer into the wind. :)

Fleet 24 News

I'm pleased to see our newest fleet doing well. But what baffles me is why my name is shown as the person submitting the report. One of those weird computer things, I suppose.

We hope some of you AZ folks will trailer your boats over to the blissfully cool waters of San Diego for the Capri Nationals on Sept. 18-19. Love to have ya!
