Here is my observation. I took my intensity sail out for the 1st time this weekend. Finished 4 and 5 in the 2 races out of 14. Last week was using my older class legal sail. Finished 2 and 5th. Same group of guys on the water.
I was in the process of refinishing my rudder when I noticed a 2-3 degree bend. It looks like I have favoured the starboard tack over the past 20 years. Any sugestion to bring it back in line.
I was 225 lbs at the start of the summer. My wife gave me a great incentive program. if I can get back to my old sailing weight of 185lbs then I can buy a new laser. My current boat is a 77 vintage. so far so good! I am down 17lbs. Best diet I have ever been on!!!!
It screws into thin AIR. I have an inspection port and added a piece of old hockey stick for the cleat and the "whatch-ma- call- it" up at the mast step.
I grew up sailing a Laser on Lake Erie. Laser's handle the waves well. Because the lake is shallow, an onshore breeze can get a little wild, especially if you are launching from a beach.... There is a Gold Cup regatta in a couple of weeks at the Buffalo Canoe Club. Give it a try. Last year...
Is there a buy Harken/Holt products only rule preventing us adding a second cleat for the outhaul on the deck and shifting the cunningham cleat over 1.5CM. This seems like a $5.00 solution vs $220 product.
No Knee problems here, but both sholders are suffering from years of abuse. The day after big winds I can't move. Maybe heading for the knife before the start of this season.
Suffering at -21C

Thanks all for the information. The prices look resonable for used boats. Mine are a little tired and need replacing. Space will determine if we bring the boats!
We will be in Melbourne if everthing comes together as planned. My wife likes the sound of Frankston. I will be in the CBD. Can...
I am moving to Australia this year. Can someone advise me on new and used Laser prices. I am trying to decide if I should sell my boats in Canada and replace in Aus vs shipping them with my household contents.
Thanks
