Dunno whats up with the ads. I am eager to get out on my sunfish...wish it would warm up. Its beautiful out but only in the 30's. I'm up for some very informal racing. I learned on a sunfish but spend a good deal of my time last summer on a capri 14.2 The community boat house also had some...

Nice! I'm glad to hear of a place to go. Is Glen lake state owned? I'd love to practice...and my "skipper" is my dog...I hate having to leave her at home all day. I'll pm you with my email...or maybe you'll see me out there once the weather returns to...well not almost snowing. (they're...

Cartopping Sunfish In Reality--for Smaller Folks

Got a trailer from Harbor Freight. There's one about 20 mi from me. It's nice...and since it comes with a title and VIN I just needed to get a plate...$6. Way awesome.

That'd be awesome. I havent been to Winnie much, but when I have the winds haven't been very light. I have to find a place to practice on my boat. The sunfish are small and I've only been on the merrimack with them....not even a small lake. I've been on the ocean with bigger boats in Boston...

After waiting in line for 45 minutes both the town and the dmv said i didnt need to register it. I will keep my money and if i get stopped tell that to the cop. The transom does have a number. The boat is from the 90's....the number after the 9 was repainted/damaged so i cant see it.

    Replacing A Sail (several Questions)

I trained last summer on a fleet of sunfish. Each boat had its own quirks, mostly due to the sail as they were all 90's models. You may notice some difference with a new sail as you break it in. To me the new sails tended not to have the get up and go of the gently uses ones. If you have a...

Before I do this does anyone have any pictures of this step? " Tape over the vent hole located in the forward wall of the cockpit" I may have unintnentilly gotten water in that hole, trying to bale the cockpit out. I'm pretty sure thats where the majority of water was comming from...the...

Unfortunatly I can't see the serial number anywhere...most of it's been scraped off the deck. It's between 1990 and 1995. I think I'll put 90 on the paperwork to be on the safe side. It has a 2003 sail but definatly no older than '95

I ended up using loctie marine epoxy (goes on white w00t) so that should be good. I reparied the bumps on the bottom but a thunderstorm let water in. Now I have water in the boat. Context clue is that the boat does NOT take on water when it's upside down, only upside right. I epoxy'd some...
