      Hi there,

My name is Logan and I'm doing a job for a friend. It seems like you are one of the most knowledgeable people on the laser forum and I can't seem to find specific help on what I need to do, so I thought maybe I could cut out the middle man and ask you directly. I need to put letters on a laser to dedicate it in memory of someone and was wondering about a couple technique things. Mainly my question is whether or not I should sand where I am going to put the letters or just apply them on top of the existing gel coat? Also, as the letters are scripted and won't leave much room to notice imperfection, can I just apply the new color with a foam roller? Lastly, do I need to sand the letters a bit to put compound/wax over them to shine them and the rest of the boat up? Thank you for any help you can give.

      Logan Baisden
