I just used the forum search option. (should of used it before starting a new thread). I got the info I needed. Apparently a very common problem. I will attempt to replace the "O" rings and see if that helps.

I broke a 4" piece off the bottom of the centerboard and made a very acceptable repair with "J.B.Weld". I'm not sure what actual material the centerboard is made from. Are stock centerboards made of carbon?
