I spray the end of my boom with some McLube before the morning races and then when I head back out onto the water after lunch (if possible). This works really well for me. Just make sure to put on a lot. You can never use to much.

I was traping on a 420 for the fist time. It was blowing 25 and we caught a huge header. The boat just tacked and I found myself out on the wire with the boom coming towards me and the boat capsizing. I was cliped in under the middle of a 420 sail for a little bit. It was fun!

GoOd TiP Thanks! I got to try out the tip today and it worked great. When I saw a roller coming I either got on it and stayed on it or I headed up more until it passed. If I felt I was losing the wave (and had no chace of staying with it ) or going to deathroll I did the same thing (head up)...
