Just got a conversion kit to change my rudder over and planning to tackle that this weekend...however in the meantime the new tiller with extension seems awfully long for leisure sailing (no hiking allowed)...any ideas on good, clean ways to shorten it and/or the extension? I seemed to recall...

It seems that the instructions tell me to mount the plate inside and then drill from the outside...why can't i drill from the inside using the plate as a template? I'm afraid that i won't be able to hit the holes in the plate from the outside....or am i reading them wrong?

Need to convert my old style rudder assembly to the newer style. Have friends enlisted for help. Just from another viewpoint...that Mac guy quoted me a 'special color combonation' sail at his usual price. Three weeks went by and I still didn't have my sail so I called him. He identified me by caller id i suppose and then proceeded to tell me that he couldn't get the color that I had asked...
