As it is the closing of another great sailing season I am ready to start planning next spring's boat repair/maintenance projects. I am curious if anyone knows of a re-gelcoating process. The gel-coat I have now is sufficient, but it would be nice if I could really make my 'fish shine again...
I was thinking about cutting a swimming noodle in half lengthwise and attaching each half close to the edges of my boat; however I think realistically I will just tough-out the "rail tail". It would be interesting to see if anyone did try this.
Duct tape worked just fine for me. My pal uses just regular 1/8" (or smaller) line to keep his main close to the spar because he is afraid of the awesome adhesive powers that duct tape has to offer.
