    Class Politics Cunningham Quick Release

I learned of a very quick and simple method several years ago for this issue. I use a quick release pin for attaching the vang to the tang. By tying a loop in the secondary cunningham line that passes through the sail grommet, i slide it onto the vang tang then connect the vang. the bottom...

    Gudgeon Alignment

Can anyone outline the proper way to install/mark the placement of the rudder gudgeons so that they are in proper alignment with the hull. My new boat's lower gudgeon came from the factory set at an angle which is visibly incorrect. Many Thanks

Class Politics Vanguard is No More

Here are the comments I was referring to in the earlier post. This excerpt is from the 2007 Annual General Meeting minutes posted on the ILCA-NA website. Ned Jones from Vanguard/PSE gave a report summarizing the recent acquisition of Vanguard by Gavel Securities Limited. He sees this as a...

Class Politics Vanguard is No More

I remember reading in some minutes of the class association that Vanguard would no longer be providing a monetary sponsorship of the Laser class beginning this year. Can someone confirm this? I personally feel this is lame considering we are required to buy boats, parts and sails from them...

    Class Politics  Laser sticker/decal color

    Sheet and Control Line Markings

I am interested to know what others have found to be the best way to mark their lines. i) where do you put a mark on your main sheet to indicate when the boom is out 90 degrees, ie where it meets the ratchet block or by the forward boom block or somewhere else. ii) where do you place marks for...

    blade repair

"49208" you won't get crucified, but "bondo" will shrink and leave tiny variances. I suggest either marinetex or evercoat's formula 27, both you have to mix but will cure/harden quickly. Wet sand and ready to splash in 10 min.

    Best instructional book for laser?

I would consider myself an intermediate laser sailer and looking for the one best instructional book to progress forward. What are your recommendations for purchasing if you could only choose one.
