Any suggestions on how to replace the bungee that holds up the hiking strap about 6 inches back from the hatch on a mod 2. Looks like it would be dead easy on mod 1 or mod 3, but with the cuddy "tube" on the mod 2 there's no way I can see to get to the back of the grommet to feed a new one...
Of mice and boats, the continuing saga
Well folks, if you're wondering how things turned out.......
After repeated washings with every cleaning agent in the house, the cloth cuddy cover will probably be useable. The real key was a product called Atmosklear that claims to kill urine odors on...
For your sake, I hope you haven't lived through this, but if you have, I need your advice.
I got my mod 2 out of winter storage (a friend's barn) today and found the biggest mouse nest I've ever seen in the cuddy. I'd left old socks full of mothballs in the cockpit and the rest of the box of...

First time out with new jib and reefed main
I got my new jib from SuperSailmakers of Florida last week. $250 for the sail with a window about 50% bigger than the original. The new sail is cut a bit differently than the original, with a much higher clew.
Setting up the boat, I found that...
Thanks to all for the advice.
Thus far I have my name in the queue for work at a Quantum loft about an hour from here. They have a two week backlog of work, so the guy there is going to call me two days before my reef job (estimated at ~$100) is ready to be done, and I'll just drive the sail...
My recently purchased mod 2 needs a new jib, and I'm looking to stay with roller-furling. If doing so won't cost me a fortune, I'd like to get another colored sail, 'cause let's face it, they' re pretty. :)
Does anyone have any recommendations for a choice of loft for an inexpensive...
