    Dolly Alternative

Not sure if it's exactly like the Seitech, but the Voodoo dolly breaks down into 3 sections: Handle, body, and wheels/cross piece. The best part: The dolly comes with a cleat near the handle, so if you own an older Sunfish, you can tie off the bow handle, making launching the boat a lot easier.

Best way to keep a hull clean?

Scott - McLube is a good suggestion. I have a small can. Any idea how much it takes to coat the bottom?

Best way to keep a hull clean?

I recall reading some differing opinions as to whether it is faster to wax/not wax the hull. My question is this: Our club routinely mows around the boats in our yards, leaving a lot of grass clippings on the boat bottoms(that just can't be fast). I'm a new father, so won't have as much...

    Halyard and gooseneck positions

If you are looking for a good middle-of-the-road position for the gooseneck, try 18" (measured from the point at which the end cap meets the aluminum of the spar). If you're fixing club boats, I'm guessing they are not fitted with quick-release levers on the gooseneck, and that the position...

    Sunfish clinic with Eduardo Cordero

Cindy, Thanks for the suggestion. I might end up doing that. I'm sure there would be a lot of value in hearing Eduardo's comments to all the sailors (on and off the water). -David

    Sunfish clinic with Eduardo Cordero

Thanks for the endorsement, Brian. It's good to know that you had a positive experience working with Eduardo. But by all means, if someone reading this lives in Florida and wants to come up to Indiana for the clinic, please do so!

    Sunfish clinic with Eduardo Cordero

Hello All, There is one spot open in a Sunfish clinic hosted by the Wawasee Yacht Club in Syracuse, IN (site of last year's Midwest Regional #3). This is a two-day clinic, to be held May 21-22, with instruction on and off the water. The fee is $200. I was going to attend, but tore my ACL...
