well, on mine, there is a black plactic loop type thing one end snapes into, and then it restv ertically up the mast and clips into a c clip to hold it vertically
i need to know the lenght of the factory whisker pole so i can eith make one or order one. Mine fell off the mast mount in rough waer and is now in the bottom of hefner. I was hoping just to get a telescoping one from west marine. Is out pole shorter then 8 ft?
i have a 2001 mod 3 and have noticed my jib cars differ form the mod 1's in dry dock next to me. Thiers seem to have a swiveling dead eye lead to a swiveling arm with the cleat on it. Where as mine simple havs a plastic "d" to a cleat, no swiveling at all. It seem this older design would work...

ok, does rake refer to forward to rearward rake? ( mast leans toward the from or rear of boat). Also, if i use the last hole on the forestay,. that will rake the mast forward, correct? Also, can i put the adjuster at the bottom of the forestay insted of on top on the mast for easier adjustment
i was out on the lake last week, when the wind really picked up and small white caps started to form. I furled up the jib, but at times just the main seemed to much. Is there a good way to reef these sails? any help or ideas would be great.
