While we're on the topic of Swiftcord, does anyone have any tips for cutting/sealing it while at the dock? In the past I've cut it with scissors and sealed it with a lighter, and while the results are effective, they aren't very pretty.
Spied on a few other Laser riggings yesterday, and sure enough, you're right. I'll throw the extra block in for a while and see if it makes a big difference or not, although with the boom sleeve, the friction will be low enough that I may not need the extra block.

Ross - SA probably has the same percentage of non-posters as TLF, so I doubt that anything really needs to be 'fixed'.

For those who have been wondering, the Laser in my icon photo is from Sunsail Club Colonna in Antigua. The sail had no battens and no window, but the boat did have the new vang/cunningham/outhaul rigging, which was nice.
Speaking as an off-and-on lurker for the past two and a half years, I would say that yes, the signal-to-noise ratio has drifted a bit toward the noise side in the last few months. I also agree that this change in tone might scare away some newcomers.

Interesting link, I was totally unaware of the hybrid drysuits! Would anyone like to chime in on any personal experiences you've had with them? In particular, the 2005 O'Neill Fluid drysuit looks interesting.
Also, why are the drysuit prices on shuswapsnb.com so much cheaper than the ones...
