I have been toying with the idea of my Olympus still camera (the waterproof and shock proof one 720SW) set on movie (with a good SD card I get about 45 minutes of video at the highest resolution) attached to a mini tripod which is cable tied or gaffa taped to the bow, or the stern, or the boom...
Hi after a regatta on the weekend talking to the hot shots I have found out that my centreboard has a bow in it from probably being left out in the sun (before i got the boat).
Its not huge and I realise that it is likely to be having a small effect on boat speed, partciularly on one tack. But...
I dont know about you but in all the boats that I have sialed with a jib I always use jib leech tell tales, particularly at the 1/3 leech height. This gives you information about the twist in the jib, the size and flow from the slot and the placement of the jib sheet cars.

Probably wouldnt like to be in a long race in too much more but that is more for fitness reasons than safety. Cant really see that there is too much to break compared to other...
There are two trains of though IMHO.
1. Is the bloke just learning, not real clue but a little bit of information is too much for him knowing he was on starboard. If this was the case and it wasnt a major race, then I would approach him tell him that you could DSQ him fo not avoiding a...
