includes everything for $400.. i found this boat forsale. has anyone here had one? this is a steal right?

It's a good price if the the boat is complete (sails, rudder/tiller, etc.) If it is missing parts, it is going to be very hand to find these parts on a boat like this that is no longer being
produced.

im waiting for word about the title.. it looks like the boat was recently registered but you never know..

the sail and jib are in very good condition and the rudder is included..

its been sitting for a year in a carport and just has some dust, he says.. i think the owner just lives in the middle where no one cares for it..

if he has the title i'll be driving a few hours away to pick it up..

guy said it doesn't leak, that he knows of... i hope not..

sails alone will pay for it though, from what i can put together..yay

Steal is relative to how it checks out up close.

I wonder if that's the same "American Boat" company that makes the Aqua Cat and Aqua Finn?

Go sail your Sunfish and bring out a toast to yourself and all the money you saved :D.

irregular verbs are funny..

i was just being silly.. sold i know.. not solded.. i teach esl and spanish.. it just makes the sentence more special by making it a regular verb..

"i selled mi boat fur free.." how do you like that one?

my dad's english is sloppy like that.. (Mexican English)

I don't recommend the boat. There are lots of cheap or even free boats out there. Look around some more. In fact I know of one boat that is much nicer, for free. It needs an engine, but you could always rip out the engine and sail it without one.

Go to you local marinas and tell the managers that you are looking for a free boat, and chances are good they will have people behind on their storage fees, that they want to get rid of, for little or nothing.

Now if you can find a popular boat like a BlueJay or Cape Cod Mercury, something people want, then later on, if you want to trade up to something else, you can at least sell it.

A Sunfish is a good example of an in-demand boat. People always want one. An American 16? It is not a good boat, and not really worth anything. It has only one advantage--it has a trailer. Is the trailer worth $400--NO. Stay away from this one, unless you get it for nothing.

thank you-
